June challenge: 2017 version

It’s nearly time for our June challenge! Are you as excited as I am?

Here are the themes: theme I: buses, theme II: lines, theme III: doing something different. Here are reports from previous years: I.(a), I.(c), I.(d), II.(a), II.(b), II.(c), II.(d), III.(a), III.(b), III.(c), III.(d), III.(e).

To complete the challenge, all you need to do is:

• Make an attempt during June 2017 to follow at least one set of instructions from at least one theme.
• Report back to the community, either via a complete trip report or simply by leaving a comment on this post stating what you did and how it went.

As before, various bits of flaneurs swag will be offered to everyone who completes the challenge. The more themes you try, the more swag you get.

(Swag is currently stickers, badges, and postcards. I would be very grateful to anyone who can volunteer to organise a different type. You don’t have to be able to afford to pay for it — I have that covered — just able to decide what it should be and then make it happen.)

I'll have to reread the challenges, as I do every year, for inspiration. Maybe something in Bristol, or Portishead as I'm feeling in need of seaside.

I can't believe I managed all those mini-flans last year when I'd been so ill. I actually thought I was going to collapse and need an ambulance on the first one. It was good to get out and about though, even feeling as weak as a ragdoll.

You did so much last year! I get what you're saying about being out even when feeling rotten. I'm still dealing with annoying lung crap but I'm not going to let it stop me having adventures (very slow adventures, with lots of sitting down).
