[personal profile] kake posting in [community profile] flaneurs

It's nearly June! Let's do the June challenge again.

Here are the themes: theme I: buses, theme II: lines, theme III: doing something different. Here are reports from previous years: I.(a), I.(c), I.(d), II.(a), II.(b), II.(c), II.(d), III.(a), III.(c), III.(d).

To complete the challenge, all you need to do is:

  • Make an attempt during June 2013 to follow at least one set of instructions from at least one theme.
  • Report back to the community, either via a complete trip report or simply by leaving a comment on this post stating what you did and how it went.

As before, various bits of [community profile] flaneurs swag will be offered to everyone who completes the challenge. The more themes you try, the more swag you get.

I'm definitely IN! \o/

Last month I did another line walk, parallel to a previous June challenge walk, because I wanted to see what was round the backs of my walk up the Tything in Worcester and didn't have enough energy the first time. So the June challenges have proved useful motivation for my urban walking.

I'd planned on doing the beer-glass walk in Bergen, my hometown (which is pretty small, but it would include a boat-ride I haven't done in 20 years, so I thought that would be nice). And then I remembered that I'm going to Athens in mid-June, so I get the opportunity of doing *two* June walks. Whee!

I've done II. (a) and a modified II. (b). I'll report later in the month.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who takes caps of variant utility-hole covers, heh.

I did an extremely variant form of II. (a) in Bristol at the end of June, although I didn't specifically do it for the June Challenge. I was bored with following railways so I followed the canally bits through Bristol from the River Avon at one end to the River Avon at the other end. Report will follow sometime.
