As my idea of flânerie involves a fundamental urban component, I couldn't use the lovely walks of my parish council. They are proper rambles that should be done with a ordnance survey map at hand.
On the borough council website they've decided that old Hatfield is too small to justify any walks and no one would want to walk in the new town. At least that's what I imagine their reasoning to be.
All in all there is one little leaflet with three separate walks in WGC.
So I walked all three of them.
Being a Garden City, Welwyn isn't that old. And apart from being a Garden City, there's not much about it that's interesting. But it's certainly pretty with lots of green.
All in all a pleasant, if relatively boring walk.
More talking (with pictures) at my journal.
