As is seemingly customary once again I have done the walking of a column in the A-Z aka II(b).

I did page 162 column A

• I live tweeted it
• I took a lot of photos
• I added 4 benches to OpenBenches

Lovely looking through all the bits you posted.

I don't recall ever hearing about OpenBench -- I note that there are none anywhere near me, so I'm going to investigate what I need to do, and then start recording the ones I know of (at least two of the local unis have memorial benches -- I could get quite a few in a day's walking)

Yeah, Its not been going that long. the add bench page makes it quite easy.
Its mostly UK centric but I added a few in Brisbane the other month.

The ones in Brisbane are nearly the closest to me -- pipped by the ones in Adelaide. Very cool that you are adding them in multiple places!

That was what I wondered! I hadn't heard of it either, and the About page doesn't say whether it's supposed to be just UK. There are oodles in some of the towns and cities hereabouts, but I haven't got a smartphone so I don't think I can contribute.

Terrence has mostly kept his promotion of it to Twitter so it probably hasn't spread that far.
Yeah without something which geotags your photos it is hard to contribute. My camera does geotagging but I mostly use my phone because I can normally do it while sat on the bench.
