Date: 2014-06-08 06:03 pm (UTC)I think older fingerposts are mostly a countryside phenomenon although I've noticed new ones appearing for tourists, especially in pedestrianised areas (like traditional footpath signs). The most obscure street furniture word you need in South London is probably "coalposts" or something, heh.
