June challenge II.(d) Lines: a beer glass walk in the City of London

Yesterday I did a beer glass walk through the City of London, from Wormwood Street to Moorgate Station. I made a photoset on Flickr (with commentary) and a Google map of the route.

This wasn't a particularly long walk (Google maps says 1.5 miles) but it was fun!

I like your method of choosing a pub crawl route. You've managed to capture some classic London experiences there, heh.

If the lashing rain, wind speeds of up to 45mph, and temperatures as high as 14C, ever let up for a June minute then I might.... ::wryface::

Actually as I was walking, I thought it might make a pretty good way to do a pub crawl! You'd have to choose your map area quite carefully though.

I'm sure it wasn't quite this windy and rainy last June...

Maybe the beer glass pub crawl rules should be something like:

start at pub
draw route on map with beer glass
follow until next pub
(draw new curve as necessary)
follow until bext pub
&c.

It wasn't this windy and rainy here last December! Although it was colder, which is fair enough. The rain has stopped now... and been replaced by flying trees. I decided against walking to the post box until tomorrow. o_O

We had flying trees here too — the day you posted this, my train was late due to "a tree on the line"!

Looks like a fun walk, and now I have an urge to go to London again...
Also I obviously need to put my titles on all signs to show people I am serious.

And now I want a beer.

I suspect there will be less beer involved in the next theme I plan to do, but I'll probably try to have one at least :)
